About
Kairos is a young adult / early career group focused on community, discussion, and growth. We meet Thursday nights at 7:15 at Vineyard Community Church in downtown Tucson at 625 N Second Ave.
Who are we?
We are a small collection of young adults between our early 20s and early 30s who are learning to make our way through life, together, and following the will of God. We come from different walks of life and different background, but collect in the search of community and growth. Currently, Neal Bohling facilitates the meetings:
We are not associated with any particular church, but are an environment of discussion free from any demoninational or political limits. We approach the Bible as truth and dissect what we can with the help of the Holy Spirit.
What we believe
We like to stick to the word of God as closely as we can. Each week we scour the word doing our best to understand the message God is delivering through is Word. We hold to these tenants:
- The Bible is God’s Word, divinely inspired, written down by man, and kept in check by the Holy Spirit.
- God is triune: Father, Son, Holy Spirit
- Jesus was the Son of God. He lived, died, and rose again.
- We are saved by grace alone. We are invited to Him by His grace, and we choose Him through grace.
What we do
Each week our group consists of prayer, music, and discussion. Nuff said.
A little history
I’ll type this out later. In short, Rob Gaschler of Priority Ministry and First Southern Baptist Church started this group circa 2002/2003. From then, the study has worked through leaders Christie, Mark Birney, and now Neal Bohling. We have cycled members several times to become the incarnation we are today, still holding true to our mission: to provide a place of community to facilitate growth in Christ.
